Shell identified a critical gap in how managers communicated with executive leadership. Managers struggled to translate their deep technical expertise into the concise, strategic language executives needed to act quickly and confidently.
For the second year running, we partnered with Jennifer Vardeman & Partners to deliver a two-day workshop equipping Shell's mid-level managers with communications best practices to translate technical expertise into executive-ready messaging—all designed to build confidence, sharpen delivery, and align messaging directly with Shell's key priorities.
Through live pitch practice, peer critique, and filmed individual presentations with real-time feedback, managers emerged as more confident, strategic communicators—improving executive visibility and decision-making across the division. Shell commissioned an online version to scale the training globally.
~ "I’ve changed my presentation the day after the training."
~ "Appreciate the opportunity. There had not been such trainings for me in many years."
~ "Two days felt just right. Time commitment of two days is not an issue."
~ "I thought the training would be boring. But it is just the opposite!"
~ "Allowing participants to ask questions & learn from others is super helpful [for their speeches]."

Creating a brand, messaging, and outreach assets for a Veteran suicide prevention research program demanded extraordinary sensitivity: the work had to feel trustworthy and approachable without being clinical or sterile, urgent without being alarming, and consistent across six cities without losing local relevance.
In partnership with A-G Associates, we developed the complete Safeguard Veterans brand from the ground up—logo, tagline, visual identity, and a full suite of outreach and training assets designed to serve multiple audiences simultaneously. The centerpiece of the work is the Safeguard Veterans digital hub at SafeguardVeterans.net, a structured, resource-rich platform that connects communities to free clinical training, an online learning portal, local events, and downloadable resources by audience.
The Safeguard Veterans brand gave a complex, multi-site federal research program a cohesive identity that clinical partners, community organizations, and Veterans themselves could recognize and trust. The messaging framework and asset library have enabled site managers and community partners across the country to show up consistently and credibly in their local communities, from art fairs and jazz festivals to VA health expos and suicide intervention workshops—all under one unified brand built for a mission that couldn't afford to be anything less than clear, human, and effective.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) needed to publish a dense, data-heavy federal evaluation report spanning seven state programs, hundreds of data exhibits, and complex policy findings in a format accessible to diverse stakeholders including policymakers, researchers, and healthcare administrators.
Abt Global hired us to design the Integrated Care for Kids (InCK) Model Evaluation Report as a fully interactive, web-based publication built for CMS brand standards. The layout translates a complex, multi-chapter document into a structured, reader-friendly experience with clear visual hierarchy, section navigation, and formatted data exhibits that guide the eye through findings rather than overwhelming readers with raw data.
The finished report delivers a professional, digital experience that elevates how CMS communicates complex evaluation findings to the public. By pairing rigorous content with intentional layout and interactive functionality, the report makes key findings including cost-of-care trends, beneficiary engagement data, and implementation milestones far more accessible and digestible than a traditional government PDF.
Captain John Schafer needed a brand identity that could credibly serve elite race teams, regatta organizers, and competitive sailors on an international stage while communicating multiple distinct service lines under one unified umbrella.
We developed the Ministry of Sailing identity system that included logo design, website, and supporting collateral. The brand name itself establishes authority and purpose—positioning the organization as a governing-level resource for the sailing community rather than just another coaching service.
The business has gained trust from competitive race teams, earned recognition as a leader in regatta crisis management and safety readiness, and now operates across multiple countries—delivering boats, certifying sailors, and managing crisis response at some of the world's most demanding offshore events.

"There are not enough words to describe how awesome Sabol is with their approach to branding companies. The success I have had over the past five years would not have been accomplished without their aid and creative abilities."
— John Schafer, CEO, Ministry of Sailing | Maritime Response
